Brian was very sweet and charming as I expected him to be, it was my brother in law that acted like the real jackass. And I had to deal with my sister's pregnancy horomones. Oh, fun.
My sister was sweet and joked with Brian, trying to waddle around my kitchen to get as much of the food as possible. Brian cracked jokes, he wasn't different in any way. He just acted like he did with me, which made me kiss him on the cheek every ten minutes. I basically did.
But the second my brother in law Scott gets off his damn two Blackberrys, it's. "Brian, nice to meet you. So em, what the hell happened the other night? Three goals? Really?"
I wanted to kill him. I tried to secretively kick him in the balls under the table, but it didn't work.
Brian was very sweet about it, and must've said "I'm just doing my best" about a thousand times. Scott, grabbing more beer than he can handle, kept at it until we put the baseball game on. They actually high fived and laughed with each other every time Texas scored. It was quite nice, my sister and I sitting in the kitchen, watching the boys chat about the players.
But the dinner was just, ugh.
So now I'm sitting in my office,

London
Day: 5
No luck at the gym this morning. :( I was so unbelievably frustrated! Well, I mean, what are the chances? I have to realize that there are millions of people in London. Plus, I already saw him once. I should be grateful for that.
But I still want more. :) I'm going to try again Thursday, I was talking to the girl at the front desk again and she says he's almost always there on Thursdays. I hope I at least get a glance of him!!
Anyways, we're heading off to the Bakery now. Maybe something great will happen. :) You never know!
Then we're going to do some more shopping/touring. After that, we're going to some fancy restaurant called the Oxo Tower or something like that along the Thames. It's Natalie's birthday soon, so my friends and I are taking her out to celebrate.. since I won't be here for her actual birthday. Apparently it's a gorgeous, super fancy place. It's going to be pretty nice. :)
Wish me luck!

Day: 4
By the way, that Manchester United game is Saturday. Thought it was Sunday for some reason.
Anyone going? That'd be fun to meet.
Was another great day, now I'm tired. Going to hang around then go to sleep. Wish me luck at the Bakery tomorrow!

Before I leave!
Did I tell you I'm going to Dublin Wednesday? Yes, I'm super excited! We're driving up to Scotland then taking a ferry over. Natalie's other Aunt and Uncle have a farm about 40 minutes outside of Dublin. Never been there, of course, but it looks like the most beautiful thing.
And yes, I'll be looking for Damien Rice the entire time we're in the city.
Probably won't get to the Bakery that day, though. And that'll probably be the day they're outside all day, saying hello to strangers.
That'd be my luck.

Day: 4 Location: Back at Natalie's.
We went to Jonny's old apartment! I got emotional, again, knowing my favorite band in the entire world started in that little place. It was seriously awesome. We then headed to the Dublin Castle, not too far from Jonny's. Again, I got really emotional. The owner even let us stand on the stage for a while. He said we're not the first Coldplay fans to ask. :P
We're going to try to go to the Bakery a little later tomorrow, after lunch. It seems like activity there really starts up around mid day.
I'm really hoping to meet one of them. I saw Chris, but yes, I'm greedy. I want more. :]
We're going to Westminister Abbey today, to do all the super fun touristy things again. I'm excited, it looks super beauitful there.
Then we're going to the cemetary where they filmed that cemetary scene in Sherlock Holmes!
Yes, this is not only a friends + Coldplay trip, it's a Sherlock trip as well.

Day: 4 Location: Parlaiment Hill
I'm currently sitting on the same bench Guy was sitting on in the South Bank Show, on the same path Chris did his little Irish kick, forgetting that quote. It's an ubelievably beautiful view from here, and I picked a great time to come up here. The sun has finally come out for the first time since I've been here, and it's a pretty gorgeous day, maybe 55 degrees F. It's supposed to rain again later, so I'm soaking up this moment.
Last night's bakery charity was a great success! Ugh, it was so much fun. I finally got to see Natalie's aunt's bakery which is adorable. So many people came in and bought so many cookies, we raised over $3000 for Haitian and Chilean relief.
I kept getting heckled for my Manchester United jersey, since we were in Chelsea. Whatever. Everyone was joking around. :]
Went to the Bakery again pretty early this morning, and I think we went too early. There wasn't nearly as much activity as there usually is. Right now we're having a little picnic on top of Parlaiment with a few gourmet pizzas. Everyone's out right now, trying to enjoy the little bit of sun we're getting.
It's about 12:30 here now, so after we eat lunch we're going to Jonny's old apartment. Couldn't do it yesterday since we were so unbelievably busy. Then after that, we'll eat dinner at the Dublin Castle. Natalie's birthday is in May and I won't see her again until July, so when we're at the DC we're going to surprise her with gifts. :) Fun stuff.
Loving it in London, and not wanting to leave.

London
Just got back from eating. We ate at this great pub called the Red Lion or something along those lines... apparently there are a lot of places with that name. Anyway, I'm stuffed.
Now we're getting ready to go to a cookie-making bake sale at Natalie's aunt's bakery in Chelsea. I'm so excited to see Natalie's aunt again. I honestly haven't seen her since I was about 17, and she's been like a mom and a sister to me all wrapped up in one.
The bake sale is raising money for victims of the Haiti and Chilean earthquakes. We're going to be baking for hours, and apparently, we should expect the place to be packed with loyal customers.
I shall be making the peanut butter blossoms, since they're my specialty, and Natalie's aunt's bakery doesn't have them!
I'm glad I can contribute something to London. :)

London
Day: 3 Location: Natalie's roof, since it thankfully stopped raining for the moment. Mood: Happy!
It's amazing how my best friend in the entire world lives blocks, well maybe a 20 minute ride away from all these celebirties and is completely cool with it. Chris Martin lives near her, Liam Gallagher lives about a block away from Chris, and apparently Quentin Tarantino has a winter home in Chelsea, near her aunt's house.
How does she do it?
I love it here. After I wrote my last blog, we went to Abbey Road. I didn't realize how emotional I'd get seeing everything Beatles. I had tears in my eyes, looking at Abbey road, walking around the studio. It was so magical, knowing all this unbelievable music that I grew up with came out of that very studio. Gotta love the Beatles.
And yes, I walked across Abbey Road like an idiot as Natalie took a picture of me from the other side. I'm snorting with laughter, so it's not very flattering. Some tourist from Belgium walked over it in stilts. There was a news camera there while he was doing it. Apparently he's the first, which is so shocking. Not really.
We talked to him for a while. His name was Raf, and he was visiting for his spring break from University just like me. He wanted to make a statement when he walked across the famous road of his favorite band in the world. I guess he did, didn't he?
We might be on British news if they show the story, so look for the girl in the black turtleneck. That's me. :)
Anyways, after we left Abbey Road we walked around Westminister Abbey, down to the Thames. Such a bleak, dreary day but it didn't dampen my spirit a bit. Apparently some people get depressed and down when they visit London because of the dreary weather. I honestly don't understand why, since it's such a great city with so much to do, you barely notice the weather.
After our walk down the Thames (where we saw lots of places where they filmed the new Sherlock Holmes movie) we went to the Sherlock Holmes museum, 221 Baker Street.
So, that was like, my wet dream, being such a big SH fan. There was everything there from all the old movies. LOVED it.
After that, we went shopping. Bought lots of new clothes. Spent $140. Ouch. Well, I haven't been clothes shopping in a while so I guess it's alright.
Got myself a Manchester United jersey, FINALLY! I'm really happy about it.
It was the cheapest one, at $80. Oh well. Worth it.
I'm going to the United game on Sunday vs. Chelsea, so I need to dress the part.
We're heading off to eat dinner now, we just wanted to change into some more comfortable shoes. After all that walking today, heels don't really work.
Natalie, the girls and I all bought matching yellow rain boots. Perfect.

Oh, and Earth hour was last night! We were walking right next to the Parlaiment building when the lights shut off. It was kind've scary at first when I didn't remember it was Earth Hour. :)

London
Day: 3 Location: Natalie's. Mood: Hung over.
So it's about 1:00 here, and I haven't gotten a good sleep since I've been here. Went out drinking last night, got about an hour's sleep. But I'm not tired, that's the thing!
I love this city so much. It's gorgeous, the people are so welcoming. Seriously, if I could find a job here after I graduate, I'd take it.
Funny story about the Bakery this morning!
We we were just loitiering again, waiting for any kind of sign of activity. Saw Vicky drive in! We waved at her while she was in her car. She looked a little confused/scared, but she waved back. :) That was awesome.
So a few minutes before we were going to leave a delicatessen delivery car pulls up. Some teenage kid gets out, grabs like three giant bags of food out of the back and starts walking down the alley, toward's the Bakery.
COLDPLAY FOOD.
"Are you delivering?" I say to the kid.
He looks back at me, incredibly confused. "Yeah?"
"To that place? I point to the Bakery. "Right there?"
He begins to walk down the alley again. "That's the only place I know that's down here."
I ignore his attitude and fight. "Can I come with you?"
"What?" The kid's now chuckling, along with my friends.
I walk a little closer to him and point to the Bakery's windows. "Do you know what band uses that studio?"
The kid looks at the building and shakes his head.
"Coldplay. " I say. "Coldplay could possibly be in there right now, recording their new album.
"So?" the kid replies.
I step back and roll my eyes. "Fine. Go be greeted by Phil. Go meet Coldplay and not care."
So we watch the kid as he walks down the alley, and knocks on the front door of the Bakery.
Vicky answered the door, so we screamed her name and waved at her a second time. She waved back, laughing. "Hi girls!" she yelled. "Some devoted fans, aren't you?"
"Can the boys come out and say hello?" Natalie yells back.
She laughs, shrugs her shoulders and waves goodbye. We wave back, the kid still looking confused the entire time.
"Was that girl in Coldplay?" the kid asks on the way back.
"You shouldn't be allowed to be British if you don't know what Coldplay looks like." I say back, and we leave. :P
We found this music shop down the road from the Bakery that could've possibly been the same one the guys bought all their VIVA instruments in! It had an incredibly diverse collection of instruments. Bought a bass there as a souvenir. :)
We're just going to eat lunch now, then going to Abbey Road afterwards, then some clothes shopping.

London
Day: 2 Location: Natalie's super tiny guest room Mood: STILL PUMPED.
It's 10:o9 here and I don't think I'm going to sleep at all tonight. Didn't sleep at all last night either. Is London the city that never sleeps? I don't think so, but it is for me.
I saw Chris Martin today. How unbelievably crazy is that?! I wouldn't be surprised if you don't believe it when you read it... I experienced it... and I still don't believe it.
So today has been wonderful. I've been on Cloud 9, just smiling like an idiot.
After I got home and told my story to you all, Natalie, and all my other friends, we headed off to the Bakery. Kind've cloudy and rainy weather today, but 'ey, it could've been raining acid and I still would've been smiling. We took a taxi down to Fleet Road and got out right at Ravel's Bistro. After seeing so many pictures of Coldplayers there, it was unbelievable to finally be there myself.
And the funny thing is, it's actually nothing special when you think about it. :P
It's so incredibly ordinary it made me smile. Because it was so incredibly Coldplay. Down to Earth. Nothing too extravaggant.
Of course, we didn't like peek in the windows or anything, we just kind've loitered. :P I examined everything as Natalie took pictures for me on her camera, that she'll be sending to me sometime in the next 10 years I'm sure.
I examined the cement road. The curves in the cement where puddles grew, the ciggarette butts (most likely left by Guy or one of our other smokey boys), the tire tracks left, maybe from when Chris arrived this morning, after my sighting.
It was unbelievable, and again, we looked like crazy people just standing around in this alley, smiling like complete idiots.
"CHRIS!" I scream as loud as I can, making the other girls with me burst into laughter. "CHRIS CAN YOU COME OUT?!"
Nothing, unfortunately. We didn't see any of the boys today, but I plan on coming back every single day until I have to leave.
We ate at Ravel's. Okay food, and again, so incredibly down to Earth. The whole time, I was just picturing the boys at the same table as us, having a good time. I felt so close to them, and I still do.
For the rest of the day, we hung out around the Buckingham Palace area. Saw the changing of the guards, made fun of a British soldier, the whole sha-bang. I couldn't stop thinking about this morning, and I still can't.
Well, I have to go. We're going out for drinks and danicing, and I plan on getting super drunk tonight.
Oh.... and jet lag sucks.
Cheerio!

Day: 2 Location: Natalie's House Mood: FREAKED!
So I'll go back to everything else that happened right after I tell you what happened to me this morning. So I just decided to walk by Chris's house, for two reasons. One: Natalie told me he lives like a block and a half away from her, and two: I decided that if I did see him, either driving or walking, I wouldn't bother him. I understand the man's constantly being horded with cameras and the last thing he wants is someone to bother him at his own house.
So I take a walk down the gorgeous streets of London, examining everything I see. It's a gorgeous city, really. I haven't found one bad street or bad looking place, everyone is so welcoming, and honestly the food is wonderful. I didn't think the food would be wonderful, but honestly, it is.
I get to Chris's street and freeze. There's his house. Quite a beautiful house to be honest, reminds me of Chris. It has really big, super thick, maybe 5 and 1/2 foot walls surrounding it to keep the paps (and fangirls like myself) out. And a super elegant, gorgeous black gate in the front.
The gate was open.
The Range Rover is sitting out front, I can hear the radio's, on, the keys are in the ignition. The driver's side door is wide open.
"Please don't let it be Gwyneth," I begin to think. "PLEASE don't let it be Gwyneth!"
I walk a little closer to examine the scene and try not to look as freaked as I am. People around me are just walking past Chris's car like it's just every day for them. I must've looked absolutely nuts.
And then suddenly, from behind those giant walls, he emerges. I felt like I was going to fall over. He's wearing his striped beanie, dressed in all black and those adorable white sneakers (I happened to be wearing those sneakers at the same time).
The reason why I'm not saying this in all caps is because I'm still in complete shock, by the way.
I remind myself that I won't bother him in any way. I just begin to walk closer.
He jogs around the car to the driver's side, where the door is open. He leans inside, grabs a cell phone and begins to call someone.
At this point, I'm directly on the other side of the street from him, just staring like a crazy person. Thankfully, he doesn't see me.
Chris gets in the car, turns the radio up a little so I can hear U2's "The Unforgettable Fire" playing. He turns on the car, and looks over in my direction. My knees buckled a little. I smiled, nodded, and attempted to act like a normal, non crazy person.
He smiled back. HOLY SHIT HE SMILED BACK.
He puts on his turn signal, pulls out of the spot and drives away.
Someone pinch me, I must be dreaming.

London
Day: 1 Location: Somewhere over the Atlantic, close to Philadelphia Mood: SUPER relaxed.
This whole day has been a blur. Natalie, I want to thank you for the billionth time for buying me this flight for my early birthday present. This is perfect, and it's going to be a perfect week.
All I've been doing all day has been staring at pictures of London. Streets I'll be near, things I'll be visiting, places I'll be eating. You have no idea how unbelievably excited I am.
"Can I get you anything?" The flight attendent asks... again.
"No, I'm fine." I say.. again.
That gets annoying.
So I get to the airport, fly through customs and hang out for a while, waiting to board. I was talking to this young Indian guy before my flight. He said he's going over to London for school. I'm going to visit and get drunk with my best friend. Who's the better person? I'll let you decide.
Said Indian kid is now sitting like, 10 rows up from me. We're flying through a little bit of rain, the rain Philly's been getting for the past day. Yuck.
There's a couple sitting in the row in front of me. Newlyweds, I'm guessing. They're fighting like they don't want to have their first fight... smiles, nice voice tones, the whole sha-bang. It's actually getting quite annoying.
I have a window seat, thank god. The view of the Atlantic is unbelievable! I could've sworn I saw a whale but Bradley thinks I'm nuts.
Now, we need to get to Bradley. In my mind, I'm calling just calling him gorgeous. I hope I don't get the two mixed up.
So I'm sitting in my seat before the flight takes off, PRAYING some obese smelly guy does not sit down next to me and start flirting with me or something. Well, someone upstairs must like me. Down the aisle comes this beautiful creature on two legs and begins to put his bag above my seat. I'm praying even more that this is my lucky day, and what do you know? He sits down next to me. "Not afriad of flying, are you?" I say.
He looks over at me with beautiful blue eyes, smiles (a little confused). "No. You?"
"No." Is all I say back. "I'm just making sure you won't throw up on me or anything."
"Don't worry about that." he chuckles. "I'm Bradley."
I introduce myself, and we begin talking. Apparently he's going to London for his sister's wedding. I told him about my sister's wedding in France as we took off. It was nice to have someone to talk to.
As I am writing this, Mr. Gorgeous is currently sitting next to me typing away on his laptop. I was going to ask him if he knew how much a drink would be, but he seemed pretty busy. I peeked over at his monitor and he's playing Tetris.
The sun is just about to set behind us and the view is fading. Luckily, I have a nice view sitting next to me.
(Oh, and if I could compare him to any celebirty... he looks like Bradley Cooper (the guy from the Hangover). Oh my god.)
